We were up and out the door early this morning! We went to St. Pancras Station to catch the Eurostar, the high-speed train that takes us from London, under the English Channel to Gare du Nord, Paris. Ears popped as we entered and exited the chunnel. Our bus took us to our hotel.
We saw some classic Paris scenery on the way—below is Notre-Dame Cathedral!
A short stroll took the group to our first French meal, accompanied by a beautiful merlot.
We started with a soup made of leeks, potatoes and carrots.
Our second course was salmon, rice and a mixture of carrots and zucchini.
The meal continued with dessert! Our waiter called this a lava cake, but it was more like really serious chocolate with a firm, creamy chocolate center.
Have you ever enjoyed a meal in Paris? What did you eat and what did you think?
