We’ve always believed that a little time in the sun can do wonders for our mood (with the correct level of SPF, of course). But, a 2004 study conducted at the University of Michigan suggests that mid-winter is the best time to get a warm weather boost.
“Being outside in pleasant weather really offers a way to re-set your mind-set,” researcher Matthew Keller told Science Daily. “[We] found there are two important variables: how much time you spend outside and what the season is. If you go from winter to spring and spend enough time outside, there’s a noticeable change.”
