Today we arrived in Mykonos! We traveled by fast ferry from Santorini and arrived in the early afternoon. We had a couple of hours before our included dinner, so we explored the nearby Platis Gialos beach.
Today we had a full free day but we decided to take both of the optional excursions on offer: a tasting at a local winery and an evening sailboat cruise around the caldera that Gloria had arranged as an option for our group.
This morning we hopped on a fast ferry from Crete to Santorini. Arriving on the island of Santorini is an experience we won't soon forget—when exiting from the lower level of the boat, the cliffs loom so high above that you cannot see sky until you are completely outside and on the shore.
This afternoon we arrived in Athens. A guide named Roberto picked us and some of our other group members up at the airport. On the way to our hotel, Roberto taught us how to say yes ("nay") and no ("hokay") and told us all about the Greek capital city.
