Here in the U.S.A., today is all about celebrating the red, white and blue. What better way to end Independence Day than by watching colorful fireworks against the night sky? Here, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite festive displays across the country.
It’s fitting that our nation’s capital puts on an impressive celebration on the National Mall. With the Reflecting Pool and Washington Monument in the background, the fireworks close off a day full of parades and free concerts in the city.
The Fireworks Spectacular in the birthplace of the Revolution is quite unlike any other. Crowds gather along the Charles River Esplanade to watch the bright display and listen to a rousing free concert played by the Boston Pops Orchestra.
Head down to Music City if you want to be entertained on America’s Birthday. Free concerts take place downtown all day long, and music also accompanies the 27-minute fireworks show in the evening—the biggest display in the South!
Whether you view from the water or the land, Tahoe South’s Lights on the Lake extravaganza is an incredible, patriotic display in the Sierra Nevada.
With an early morning half marathon, live music all evening and a 10pm fireworks event, the Red, White & Boom Celebration along the Mississippi River makes for an entire day full of fun.
Happy 4th of July! Where will you be celebrating today?
