Today we disembarked our cruise in Chongqing. Before our flight to Xi’an, we were able to fit in a visit to see the pandas who live in the city. There are a total of 1700 living in the wild in China. We visited the red “lesser” panda first then saw three big pandas chomping on bamboo.
Later at dinner we too had some bamboo, which was surprisingly fresh and tasty! The pandas have the right idea.
After our short flight to Xi’an we checked into our hotel then drove to a popular local restraint for dinner. Xi’an is known for food made from flour so we feasted on homemade noodles tonight and tomorrow night we’re going for a dumpling buffet—yum!
